White Lake town council held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, November 9th, at the town hall. Commissioners Paul Evans and Tim Clifton were granted excused absences.
Dr. Diane Lauritsen (not present) provided a written update to the the White Lake Management Plan. Commissioner Tim Blount gave a lengthy opinion with his concern that White Lake government wasn't acting quickly enough to the water problems. His concerns concentrated on changes to the lake level. During Open Forum White Lake resident Alan Pitman gave his opinion that White Lake wasn't doing the tasks that it was asked to do by the State. Commissioner Dean Hilton defended White Lake government and said the Town is doing everything it should be doing. Town Board approved plans to begin Phase II of the Sewer Improvement Project in January and to begin Phase II of the multi-use path continuing from Turtle Cove to the Scotchman.
