"Lighting of the Lake" is an area promotion where the businesses, residents, and communities at White Lake decorate their piers and docks with lights in order to make the Holiday Season a little brighter.  To help get the season started, the local area chamber of commerce is holding a contest to encourage a lively participation in the event. 

• This year, the contest is open to residents, community piers, and business around White Lake with piers.
• Must register (By Nov 30th) with the Elizabethtown-White Lake Chamber of Commerce in order to be judged.  (Use the form on their site - here.)
• Lights should be up by December 4th and stay up until December 25th.
• Lights should be on a timer and be on between the hours of 6 - 10pm.
• Visitor's will have a chance to vote on their favorite decoration through the Chamber's website.
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd awards will be given to BOTH Business and Residents alike for a total of 6 awards.  Awards will be announced the week prior to Christmas
